So this morning I made pancakes... which was nice, y'know, fresh home-made pancakes. And I'm cooking them on a griddle on the stove-top, which means it has a tendency to slide around. So I've got a sillicone pot-holder that I'm using to hold the griddle in place when I want to flip the pancakes over. Fine. Everythings all fine and dandy. Until the pot-holder slips a bit in my hand, and I touch the hot griddle... With my finger. Now, if you've ever had a burn, it hurts like a bitch, right? Right. Now, most places on a person's body the nerve endings are nicely spread out and not really concentrated. Not so in the hands. Especially the fingertips. Now, this griddle must have been about 150 or so, which is good. Unless you touch it, then it hurts like twenty bitches. So now I have this nice little line of burned skin on my fingertip. Which makes it hard to type.... Fucking OW!
