We took down the backboard of the basketball net back on Thanksgiving to get it out of the way for when we chopped down some trees. My dad finally got around to putting the backboard back on this evening. I spent my early afternoon helping my dad clean out the gutters. Nothing quite like standing on the front roof, holding the bottom of a wobbly wooden ladder while your senior citizen father stands on the top of the ladder to clean out the gutters at the very top of the house. My dad is still in the hospital. My mom thinks he might come home tomorrow, although she says his leg still looks as swollen as it was when he went in two days ago, but the red rash doesn't look as bad.
