Saw The Lookout tonight. It was pretty good. There was a point near the end where I wasn't certain how it was going to turn out.
I came home to another humorous "Dad on the phone" story:
My brother Pat is coming into the Philly airport next Saturday night. My parents will be at my dad's high school reunion dinner at a hotel by the airport. My dad called the hotel to see if there was a shuttle or something to get Pat from the airport to the hotel so my parents could drive him home. Here's how the phone conversation went between my dad and the hotel woman:
Dad: I'll be at your hotel next Saturday for an affair.
Woman: Will it just be you and another person?
Dad: *explains the situation*
Woman: Thanks. I needed that laugh after the bad day I've had.
Yes, my dad is the kind of person that uses the word "affair" when talking about a social gathering. As my mom said, my dad has a lot of affairs.
We went to Target tonight to stock up on Easter candy. I might've gone a little overboard by buying 24 Cadbury Eggs and four extra-large Hershey bars that are a half pound each (yup, I got two pounds of chocolate). See what giving up chocolate completely can do to a person when the end of Lent is just around the corner? Oh and I bought Peeps to balance it all out.
I love chocolate.
