I was given this bear as a baby in 1990, and cannot- for obvious reasons- precisely describe what it looked like brand-new, but it's a Playskool bear, light brownish or amber in color, and my mother insists the box said "baby's first teddy bear" or some variation thereof, definitely the word "first" was in there. When I was a kid, I saw a commercial for this toy. I begged my mom for it, but we could never find it in stores and at this point, I'm not even sure it actually existed. I remember seeing commercials for this thing in the early- to mid-90s (1992-94 or so?). I think there was a mad-scientist type character in the commercial, and the toy was like--a giant head or something?
