children's cartoon "short"....
I have been trying to remember this cartoon 'short' forever! I'd love to see if it was on YouTube. If you're old enough to remember, I think it was on the children's show PINWHEEL. (I think it was on Pinwheel, but could've been on another children's variety show.) I've asked about this on IMDB, with no luck.
My memories are extremely vague, I could be totally wrong on some of these, but here's what I think I remember:
-Main character was a dark-haired little boy.
-It had a very creepy tone to it, and was dark - like most of it happened at night.
-It had a scary old lady/witch/fortune teller. The boy kept visiting her, and I think she would give him different tasks to do. I remember him spying on her. And, he finally got 'revenge' in the end.
-Magic may have been involved.
-I think the cartoon was still drawings, not animation (but I could be wrong!).
-I remember an ill/dying bird (swallow?) in it, unless I'm thinking of a different cartoon.
I remember telling a friend this story, and he loved it so much he'd asked me to re-tell it to him once in a while.
