Cartoon?

There was a cartoon in the 90's. I remember watching it once when I was a kid, although it seems pretty creepy to have been for kids. It wasn't an animated show and the characters seemed to be made of clay? The main character was a ball of green goop and had friends that were just as creepy looking. I think they lived under a childs bed but the he never knew they existed.

I'm sorry if this seems vague but it was years ago and I only seen it several times.
It has been killing me, and no one has any idea what I'm talking about.
