So, I did it. I bought a new video camera. I have yet to hear back from the repair shop about the diagnosis on my old video camera, but I decided it was time to get a new one. Mostly to have two to use during events, plus it gives me more options to play back my tapes.

The audio glitches I've had in my digitized video have become very apparent in recent tapes I'm trying to digitize. I'm not sure when the problem started, but I noticed it a few months ago but was able to kind of fix it. Now it's pretty obvious. This past weekend I went to Fort Smith to visit Meghan and Mike. Meghan's parents always hold a big Fourth of July party. Most of the time we spent visiting and helping set up. I picked up my video camera from the repair shop yesterday. I tested it while I was there, and the audio seems to be working now. They said what they did to fix it, but it was just numbers and letters as part names. I have no idea what they actually did. But, it's working and I didn't have to pay for it ( Read more... )

Late last week, I picked up my video camera from the repair shop for the second time. They had fixed the problem with the tapes getting stuck in the camera. I guess I should put an update about this weekend. Well, not much happened, but I did do a few things. I finally put the boxes of Halloween decorations away and brought down the boxes of Christmas decorations. Saturday, I hung the lights on the house and anchored giant polar bear out in the hard.
