Ormond Beach, Florida...

I can't believe it's been over six months since I last posted, and we've got less than six months left! I've gotten a lot done in that time, thankfully.

Our venue! The Casements, in Ormond Beach, Florida. I've been going there since I was a little girl for festivals held on the grounds there, and it's got some amazing history. We'll be married beside the river, with the entire house available for the reception.

The main reception room, from the entryway and then opposite sides.

A connecting room, for more guests. Buffet table will also be in here, along mirrored wall.

I'm struggling a little bit with decorations. I know that I don't need much, since the house on its own is beautiful, but I really don't care for the blue/grey walls in the main room and the huuuuge mirror presence in the other room. I don't want to cover them up, just accent them nicely to draw some attention away. Any ideas?

The dress, which I got from Ruche. Love it so, so much. The details are beautiful.

I had my bridesmaids get this dress, which is so lovely in person. The embroidery is all cut outs. Looks like I can't include a photo of it here from my iPad, unfortunately!

Invitations: Vintage Book Cover Invitations on Etsy. Fell in love with these invitations early on. I'm currently working with the seller to customize my own. She's also doing matching bookmarks for us as favors.

I've been collecting old books to use in centerpieces from the library I work at. We get donations all the time, so what we can't add to the collection or sell in our bookstore, I'm able to look through and select from. I think I'll be making little bunches of lavender and other things to lay on top of the books, and maybe some picture frames with table numbers.

Seating cards will be inside a drawer from a card catalog, in alphabetical order for the guests to find. I was thinking about doing table numbers with different Dewey Decimal numbers, but that might be overkill, haha.

Our caterer is completely amazing. He's giving us a unique, gourmet menu within our budget. I love that he is so far away from the basic wedding buffet menu. No carving stations or chicken marsala here! Plus: he's very familiar with the venue and has an awesome personality.

Photographer is booked. A friend of my sister's, whose work I love. Very affordable!
DJ is nearly booked. He's sending me the contract tomorrow. Great personality and ideas, plus he knows the venue well, and has worked with our caterer there before.

I think that's everything. We're still trying to figure out what the groom and groomsmen will wear. No tuxedos, but we can't agree on a suit or style. I'm also trying to decide on headwear to go with my dress. I want a veil for the ceremony, but can't find anything that goes!

Have I left anything out? I tried to get as much done as possible before my fall semester of graduate school started up again. I cannot wait for the day to arrive!

Thanks for looking!
