In the office:

• curtains are hanging properly from curtain rods
• 4 Billy bookcases have been schlepped from Ikea, assembled and placed in their upright positions
• 11 boxes that were on the second floor are unpacked.

and I have clean clothes for the week, and folded towels.

Yesterday, around noon, the last subcontractor finished their work and received their payment on the current round of home improvements and renovations that started 17 months ago, with my surrendering my parking spot in the garage to things that used to be stored in the attic. The building contractor is expected any second to start work on our attic. This is the "preliminary" work that we don't need an approved permit for.
