(bonus points for whoever gets that).
VoxSpouse says the electrician is coming today instead of tomorrow to put in the 200A service and new breaker panel in the basement. I don't know if they're going to be able to get to the sub-panel in the attic today or not.
In other reconstruction news, the framing crew cut a humongous hole in our roof, and will be framing the dormer today, hopefully.
Also I think they are going to block and tackle the bathtub up through the hole (which is the only way it's getting in the attic at this point) today.
I am nervous about the bed, and I hope I don't have to cut a transom above the door when we try to get the mattress up the stairs when it's all done.
We decided to go with the "garden window" in the new dormer. it's going to be 60" tall and 32" wide, with 2 shelves and a seat. It protrudes 24" from the wall, and the side glass opens for airflow. The only drawback is that wall faces northwest, which is not the best position for light - however the window on that wall in the dining room has been very good to the few houseplants I have there, so maybe I can grow some container veggies all year long. Not sure if I want to grow tomatoes in the bedroom - they don't have the best odor, but I can grow other things besides decorative houseplants. I think my big fern will like it there better than its usual indoor location for the winter (it pretty much dies off all winter long and comes back in the spring/summer). The delivery date on this window is 3 weeks. I wonder if I can get the the framing inspection done during that time.
