This morning I watched a variety of birds flit back and forth in front of the glass door onto the deck. I had put some grapevine wreaths-in-progress on top of a container which was on top of a cooler. Just to get them out of the way so I could clean the not-coming-clean tile in the foyer. Richard Briers is dead.

Known to me mostly as Tom Good from The Good Neighbors and later Hector MacDonald from Monarch of the Glen. I loved him, and Felicity Kendall, and Penelope Keith...even Paul Eddington. And the concept just rocks. Farming in Suburbia. Self sufficiency. Making do and making it up as you go along. A married couple who work ( Read more... )
