There is also apparently a rumour of David Tennant playing Thranduil (which would make him Orlando Bloom's Dad) and Sylvester McCoy as Radagast...LOTR/DW crossover! Don't press those buttons!

Might I suggest Richard Armitage (Houdini--those eyes!) and Martin Freeman (though I'm having trouble picturing the 'stache)?
