Does anyone but me find it creepy that the security firm in these articles, a firm which in one report was rec'd by the US Dept.of Justice to Bank of America, a firm which reportedly is pitching a plan to target individuals in a scheme to intimidate/bribe/blackmail them into shutting up about things...
is called Palantir?
I find that creepy. The different take in the articles (blog and news and online periodical) is remarkable. I follow a lot of this stuff and it's hard to sort out histrionics from history. So I don't know where the truth lies between these articles/opinions/rumours, but if there is a security firm that thinks it's a good idea to call itself Palantir...that's so not getting the whole 'evil means corrupt all they touch' point.
