I most definitely do not want to join my LJ account with either Facebook or Twitter. Hell no! Even though I do have accounts on all three services, I use them for very different purposes.

I'm no big-time icon maker with lots of artistic textures and stuff, but I do enjoy making some simple crop&cut&clarify -type of icons every now and then. Sigh! I tried watching the sixth and final part of the excellent Tokyo Superstars documentary (can be found here), but it was such an exercise in frustration and I was getting too close to chucking my computer out of the window :P, that I decided to pass on it for now. This is not aimed at anyone in particular, but this has been a pet peeve for a while now:

Please, please, PLEASE put the embedded video content (i.e. Youtube clips) under an LJ-cut! And if you don't know how to LJ-cut, just check out the FAQs. Some of us have old computers/slow connections and the embedded videos take an awful long time to load.

Earlier today I was cursing extremely loudly and really wrestling with the temptation to throw my piece-of-shit Mac out the the window... Why, you ask? In one of the recent crashes it managed to develop a corrupted hard drive. Now I'll have reformat it and restore my data from slightly out-dated backups :P.
