Saw an article in a printer's newsletter today about a Supreme Court decision that will affect us in a positive way. Apparently they've overturned an old antitrust law, with the result that manufacturers can now enforce, rather than merely suggest, retail prices. At the store today, I received a phone call from someone who was trying to sell something. I'm really not sure what, because the person had such a thick foreign accent that I couldn't understand what he was saying. Deval Patrick got sworn in as Governor (and we were able to watch it, a bit fuzzily, on a Watchman we have at the store).

A customer sent me flowers (for doing something that I felt was no more than my job, but it's nice to be appreciated).

And G-d willing we may have news to share soon (if all goes well for the next couple weeks).

We've had several cameo appearances at the store this week. Sunday dancingdeer and lucky fiance points came in to do some preliminary research. Monday mabfan dropped in to say Hello while en route to meet gnomi. And today teddywolf was in the neighborhood and stopped by to visit. A client came into the store today looking very upset. We asked what was wrong, and she told us that her cousin was killed by a drunk driver last week. Said cousin was 26 years old, recently married, and pregnant.
