A friend of ours who's a math teacher at a local day school has started a blog which features math lessons from each week's parsha (Torah portion). Check out parshamath!

For those who like to read about cooking, check out midweekmeal. It's a fun new kosher cooking blog written by a friend's brother (culinary school grad who works at a local restaurant) and his roommate, who apparently is similarly food-oriented.

After a few frustrating cases of being unable to find things, I decided maybe there is a point to tags after all. So I've gradually been going through and back-tagging all my entries. Might not be entirely consistent b/c this was over a period of several weeks, in bits and pieces... but, finally, done. Yay!

Found out over the weekend that an old friend has a blog ridiculing discussing oddities in classic comics. Fun reading, for those who like that sort of thing... see feed at whatwerethinkin.

A friend points out that if a friend of yours creates a DreamWidth account, and imports their journal... and you've ever commented on their journal... it creates an account for you, too.
