At the store today, I received a phone call from someone who was trying to sell something. I'm really not sure what, because the person had such a thick foreign accent that I couldn't understand what he was saying. I don't have anything intrinsically against people with accents, but really, if your business depended on people responding to a sales pitch on the phone, wouldn't you hire people who speak clearly?
