I've been AWOl for a while--hectic week, but a good one. Hosted a Silpada jewelry party for a friend who lost her job--she sold some jewelry, the wine flowed, the lemon squares, brownies, crackers, cheese, hummus and fruit got eaten, and everyone had a good time, so that was a good night ( Read more... )

This was taken one glorious English fall afternoon when caffyolay, her hubby and I were zooming around the tors of Devon.

I got in last night after a wonderful 2 weeks in England, where I stayed with the lovely serenasnape and her family, and the equally lovely caffyolay and hubby.

Stories and pictures to come, but it was a super, magical time!

Now that I've slept off my almost 24-hour day yesterday, I'll be baking today, and going to see "As You Like It" tomorrow.

Maybe it's because today's Memorial Day, marking the official start of summer, or just that I've been "home" since May 2006 (when I traveled to Charleston for the wedding of friends I met on atxf years ago), but I've got some serious itchy wanderlust going on ( Read more... )
