A Lovely First Day of Winter

Dec 22, 2008 16:24

The sun shone brightly all day yesterday, and our temperatures hovered around the freezing mark. I went to early Advent service at Faith Christian, and LEM'med at St. G's for the 10 AM service. Finished my Advent Prophets Sunday School class, met friends for lunch at Bennigan's, came home and had a lovely, leisurely evening, sitting in my warm house, burning candles, with my Christmas tree all lit up, watching Chanticleer's Christmas concert DVD and "A Charlie Brown Christmas."

Today it hasn't been out of the 20's all day, and I've been to the grocery and gotten in a mood and wrapped almost all of my gifts.

A meeting in an hour, then over to a friend's house for some TV, and tomorrow is another day at home, which will find me baking and completing the wrapping.

Peace on earth--indeed.
