Yanno, we've had several Big Damn Threads over on tinman_meta, each totalling somewhere between a hundred and two hundred comments, but so far, we've never made it to page 2.

Okay, there is something wrong with tacking a present participle clause on to a sentence whose verb is past progressive active, but for the life of me, I can't put my finger on what it is.

Whoever dreamt up the microsecond long opening credits deal that started a couple of years ago is a genius. Best. Idea. Ever.

For some reason, I'm really reluctant to acknowledge praise. When I receive a compliment, instead of saying "thank you," I do a sort of verbal hand-waving wibble dance.
