Something weird about me.
For some reason, I'm really reluctant to acknowledge praise. When I receive a compliment, instead of saying "thank you," I do a sort of verbal hand-waving wibble dance. It's like the conversational equivalent of saying, "Oh, hey! Look at that!" and fleeing when the other party turns around. I think this is something fairly widespread in North American society, and other cultures of British extraction.
It makes me go "Hmm."
It makes me go "Hmm."
