I haven't weighed myself in several days. I won't step on the scale now until my period is gone. I have no desire to be discouraged by any possible water retention.
I've been thinking about my next baby step. I know I have discussed the possibility of walking for ten minutes a day and/or increasing my daily intake of fruits/veggies. Another possible contender is not eating after 7pm. The only problem I have with that is sometimes I work until 7:30 and can't eat dinner until at least 8:30. I suppose I could revise it and say I will not eat any later than 3 hours before I go to bed. Need time to digest. That might be easiest. I just gotta stay up until 11:30 or so on those nights.
I'm also considering watching less television. Adjusting my season passes so no old episodes are recorded. If I have nothing to watch on the tiddly viddly, I'll be more inclined to get up and move doing other things (chores for example). Also? I'm going to (again!) clear off the kitchen table and take my meals sitting down at the table as opposed to reclining on the couch, watching tivo.
I was listening to John Tesch the other night and he cited some article about sleep and how if you do not lay down at night on the couch, you'll be less likely to fall asleep watching tv. Also, the article said not to read in bed. Prone positions are bad. They are more conducive to sleep. So? I'll be sitting up right for now on if I want to stay awake past 10:00.
I'd like an icon expressly for these health/weight/diet posts. Any takers?
