I would like to make a donation, but want a more informed perspective of who to donate to. I know in general some vegans have issues with the Red Cross ... well I think I remember reading that. Please share more information if you have it!

Does any know any charities specifically geared towards helping animals in the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti? I've already donated to Medicins Sans Frontieres, but I'd like to be able to donate to a group that will rescue and help the animals who are in the disaster zone.

For any activist here who's not a VegNews reader, there is an interesting tidbit in the latest issue. There's a new group who will pay for the cost of food and supplies for anyone who wants to table at events and offer veg food for people to try!
