Got home from Mb's this afternoon and found A SNAKE in the middle of my kitchen floor. Yellow, about a foot and a half long. I used a sponge mop to pin it down, and picked it up with a pair of tongs (which I'll never be able to use for food serving again!) and flung it out the front door. Excellent news, my food stamp benefits were approved. Not only that, they loaded the benefits onto my old card, so that I could access them immediately---"immediately" being "I just got back from Aldis, and it sure felt good not to agonize about what else I should be spending it on". For starters, I'm 284 as of this morning. My reunion is a scant seven weeks away, and I'm hoping I can drop another 10 pounds between now and then.
