Finally a regualr international flight from Oulu: airBaltic of Latvia opens a direct route to Riika 3x weekly as of 28.10. As per Amadeus.net, Riika-OUL operated on Su., We. and Fr., dep. 20:35, arr. 22:55. The return flight, OUL-Riika is on Mo., Th. and Sa., dep. 07:50, arr. 10:00. Not much is going on, except I've visited the location of the HQ of Shaman Spirits, the world-famous village of Tyrnävä. Also visited Muhos and drove over the dam of the power station on Oulujoki; the view downstream is very much like a (small-ish) canyon. Never thought the terrain there is steep enough to create such a feature. Certainly quite -

Continuing the exploration of the wonderful Oulu region, one travelled to Liminka this afternoon. One was hard pressed, however, to find anything of significance in that town. Yesterday evening, myself and superexposed have had some coffee at Café Tin Tin Tango in Töölö, where I also had a (severely) scaled-down version of ploughman's lunch. Thence we proceeded to Kuu Kuu in Museokatu (also in Töölö), where some drinks were to be had.
