google just keeps coming up with cool stuff! they are working on public transportation planners. this is very similar to chicago's trip planner as it looks for public transportation options and then tells you the times of departure and arrival. the google version goes a bit beyond that in that you can tell it what time you want to arrive at your ( Read more... )

this is really cool. it's a firefox extension that allows you to "carry" a notebook with you while you browse the web.

so it's kind of like bookmarking, but a little better 'cause you can write a note along with the link. the notebook appears in the bottom right-hand corner of the browser window and is available at all times.

i've sporadically checked the official google blog, when i remember it exists and there was something pretty cool posted a few days ago. there is a free 3D imaging software called sketchup and you can create models of buildings for use in google earth. there is also a 3D warehouse for you to show off your creation. i may just creat a model of my ( Read more... )
