The End of an Era
We had an excellent nMC rehearsal today, we worked on four new pieces. But the occasion was also a wee bit sad. This was probably the last nMC rehearsal in my present house. Today
Excellent nMC rehearsal today. As it was the post-filkcon rehearsal, it was a very relaxed affair, as we sang songs we hadn't sung for a while. And as none of us could remember what we had decided next year's theme would be, we adopted a new theme: songs that J, our newest member who has only been with us for three filk cons, hasn't sung yet ( Read more... ) -
Again?
It's trying to snow again. There are fairly thick flurries, but the individual flakes are small, and so the snow isn't settling. Yet...
I think I should go shopping while I still can.

It keeps trying to snow here in south east London. Fingers crossed that it doesn't succeed - there's an nMC rehearsal on Sunday.

Sunday
Had a good nMC rehearsal yesterday. Unfortunately we were missing Marion, which meant we were missing an alto line in one piece and a soloist in another, but we coped somehow.
Meanwhile my snuffles have now developed into a full blown cold. :-(

So on Friday evening my right ear, the one I had had syringed on Tuesday, started feeling tender. And by the time I went to bed it was quite sore. By midnight I had had enough of not being able to sleep because of the pain, so I took some ibuprofen and managed to get some sleep after that.
