Being a busy business owner now, who still is a social activist and teacher at heart, I'm finding it difficult to prioritize things outside of business. I live in a state with a lot of churches and other religious organizations, but non-religious or non-church-going people are the biggest growing population. There are many reasons that I understand. On the radio Sun. morning, the talk show host was asking people to call in to say if they felt safer. Of course, they took a variety of answers from their calls. I knew my answer: "NO!" If you haven't heard about the hostage situation at the Discovery Channel in Silver Spring, MD, the CNN blog is giving updates. The web site of the kidnapper & terrorist is savetheplanetprotest.com but seems to have overloaded its server. I'm very upset about the situation in the Gulf. Stephen Colbert has a Fund to help the Gulf region, which is a good cause, but I want to join the efforts of some group or advocate for some bill that is fighting all off-shore drilling. It's sunny today, though we're hearing booms as snow melts from our tin roof. We got about 2' which is a record here. They're predicting as much as 5" more from Tues. - Wed.
