There's a Facebook event encouraging people to act civilly for a given day. There are many rude remarks on the bulletin board for that event, though. Some people say they do it every day, which is great and that, I think, is what is being encouraged.

It's sunny today, though we're hearing booms as snow melts from our tin roof. We got about 2' which is a record here. They're predicting as much as 5" more from Tues. - Wed.

I finally got a copy of the photo of the event I attended, the annual regional Unitarian Universalist Green Conference in Bowie, MD (below). I started by volunteering to drive people to their polling place. There were plenty of volunteers and the senior center told them to be their at 9 AM, so I was done before 10:30 as they let the seniors who couldn't stand on line (which went outside around the building) go ahead of other voters.
