The renegade Craft Fair was pretty fun. I ended up talking with several artists/booth runners, got a whole bunch of business cards so I can try and watch for many of the artists in the future and purchased a few items.
Truth be told, some of the business cards a re works of art in by themselves. I might actually make a collage of these and hang them on the wall in my place. They're colorful and interesitng, well most of them are.
I bought 5 prints from Matt Cipov.
His drawing style is actually quite enticing. I kept walking by and coming back.I almost bought this one
Ended up with a couple of his mask pieces and three color works for quite a good deal. Now the challenge that I've given myself is to make the frames for the pieces rather than buying them. One of the pictures Is meant for a Christmas gift so I've kind of got a time limit for this project.
While at the 2nd Annual Renegade Craft Fair I ran into Jessie R., a fellow Chapman-ite, as well as Michael Nerhring, a professor from Chapman. Always a huge surprise.
Plus I also purchased a silly Red Chinese knock off umbrella because the sun was scalding and I forgot to do the sun screen thing. As it really helped combat the blazing heat I was thinking I might leave it in my car for other such sunny emergencies.
