Good morning. This is Arashi's Ohno Satoshi.
Here's today's thought of the day; come on!

"There is more to life than increasing its speed." [1]

[BGM 'Ai wo Sakebe']

Today's quote was brought to you in English. Translated into Japanese, it means that life is not about simply increasing speed.

This was a quote by the political leader hailed as the founding father of India, Mahatma Gandhi-san. It can also mean that when you slow down, you'll discover a lot of things you'd otherwise have missed seeing.

Look, you there who's now awake! It's fine not to rush through your preparations once in a while, isn't it? Take it slowly today! 'There is more to life than increasing its speed!'

Mm. Man, really though. I'm basically impatient though. Man, I'm surprisingly impatient. Um, I can't really spend a whole day spacing out doing nothing. On my days off. I can't help thinking that's a waste. Mm.

I'd wake up in the morning, and well, since things may be a little scattered around, I'd thoroughly clean up everything. Mm. Then, once that's thoroughly done, I'd be like, right, what shall I do next? Laundry?

For laundry now, I don't really fold it. Once they're dry, I just put them on hangers. In the summer, especially. Then my clothes would go on a rotation basis. (laughs) Like my T-shirts and all.

Today, um, I've got on a white T-shirt with blue-ish shorts, no socks. Sandals. I can still keep going, right? Like this... (laughs) though it's already October. I never know the right timing! I don't know the right timing to change to long trousers and shoes.

Nino's also like that, though. He'd constantly be in sandals. Even in the dead of winter. Naturally, um, at work, we have our outfits and all, firstly. So we'd come in, we'd put on our outfits. The only time we'd be in our own clothes would be when our managers come and pick us up from our homes. Since we live in apartments, the most would be just walking in the corridors of the apartment building.

And then, (laughs) we'd be in the car until we reach the TV station, then it's just until we reach our green rooms. Same with going back.

So it's just about that much. Um, so we never really realise how cold it is in the middle of winter. So we're fine even in sandals.

Um, (laughs) that's right. I received an expensive duffel coat from Maruyama-kun of Kanjani8. So well, I'll wear it this year. I probably can't wear it with sandals, though, so when I do that, I'll wear shoes.

Yeah. That's how it is. Well, without rushing, let's take it slow, right? As the quote today says, too. That's right. It's best not to rush. So I don't really know when that would be. (laughs)

That's all; this was Ohno Satoshi!

[1] This is an unsourced quote. There's no indication that Gandhi ever wrote/said this.
