This year I managed to get hold of 1g of saffron for my saffron buns, just about the only Christmas tradition I partake in every year. It's a little strange that I chose this particular tradition as my own, seeing as we never baked saffron buns at home when I was a kid. Ålesund was exactly what I needed now. They've got plenty of snow, so it's all pretty for Christmas, yet it's about 10C degrees warmer than Oslo. Beautiful! We spent the day walking around outside, shopping some last minute presents etc. It was brilliant being able to be out in the snow and still have sensation in my legs, hands, nose and ears 8D ( Read more... )

I passed my American Literature exam! \0/ Got a C, which was the average score. I'm happy with that, considering I wrote a pretty crappy paper, ahahahah :D
