Looking for an Academic
I will be in London in April. One of the things high on my list to do, is to look a Medieval Manuscripts at the British Library. According to this web page, I need a reference. In my prior research trips to the Fisher Rare Book Library at the University of Toronto, I didn't need a reference. I do have a reader card from U of T.

More Snape
This Snape insisted on being in the book. Our rather dour Potions Master has a side most of Hogwarts would goggle at. Lucius decided to budge in as well. He was a bit miffed when not the star and even more so when I made him hide.

I might be on the road soon
Just found out that there is a lecture I want need to attend later this month. I know there will be more than one location, trying to find one close and possibly one near members of my flist. Right now I am checking out the Chicago site, they have the bookbinding class the same day as the lecture. Anyone near Chicago? I'd probably stay at the ( Read more... ) -

I scored big time last night. On one of my bookbinding email lists someone offered a bunch of books - papermaking, bookbinding, etc. I was so lucky, for the price of two bookbinding books from Amazon, I will be getting five, plus one on the history of papermaking. Oh, happy day.
