first, the wednesday reading meme:
What I just finished reading:
pretty deadly vol 1, written by kelly sue deconnick and drawn by emma rios. the art is occasionally kind of busy and hard to follow, but it's got a mythic old west vibe i really like, and it includes death's adopted daughter and the (female) bounty hunter - well, she seems like a bounty hunter - who he sends out to find her.
What I am reading now:
brown bread, boys, by delilah des anges, aka
apiphile, which as near as i can tell is about blood magic and a london mob boss and his, uh, i guess they'd be his lieutenants, and i'm really liking it. i was confused the first couple chapters but i'm pretty sure i've sorted out the plot and i have a handle on the major characters and how they relate to each other and the narration flows really well and the dialogue sounds like real people talking and i keep wanting to know what happens.
also still rumo, which i had to set aside so i could take something a little less gigantic to north carolina with me.
What I'm going to read next:
probably the giant fucking pile of comic books on my dining room table....
writing group tonight was a writing session, and i may or may not have written a scene for next year's bigbang that i probably won't even use. it was fun to visualize, tho.
a bathroom fixture web site kept getting requests for bathroom "sweets" - rather than "suites" - so now
they offer chocolate toilets and etc. you know, if you feel a need to bathe in a solid chocolate bathtub and brush your teeth over a chocolate sink.
