I saw that yesterday actually LOL :) You can get the fabric (if you're willing to use cotton vs. the satin) for $1.87 per yard at Walmart crafts department! I looked for a pattern for you. The closest I saw was Simplicity 4508, the view on the right. Here's a pic of the pattern:

Of course, you just make it in other colors :) I don't know if I would have time to finish it before Halloween. As it is, I have been neglecting my house duties to hurry up with these I've been doing!

The stuff you buy from those costume sellers are made terribly. They fall apart (as witnessed by both ren fest costumes I bought 3 years ago). Do you know someone else who can sew? I just did the legwork, you just need someone to cut out and put together! Part of the problem also is that you need someone nearby who is accessible for fittings. Something like that is going to have to be tailored to fit you just right!

If you find someone to pay for their work (assuming you buy your own materials). I'd say that's a good $75-$100 worth of sewing right there @ $10 per hour, maybe more depending on how ornate you want it.

I don't have anybody to sew it for me. I thought I did, but I don't. *huffs*
