Chapter 1 - Chapter 2 - Chapter 3 - Chapter 4 - Chapter 5 - Chapter 6 - Chapter 7 - Chapter 8 - Chapter 9 - Chapter 10 - Chapter 11 - Chapter 12

The ride back to the city was long and Jared kept casting his mind back to the time that they had on their honeymoon. Granted, it wasn’t a honeymoon in the most conventional of sense; but Jared liked seeing a side to Jensen that very few people experienced.

The Jensen that most people knew was ruthless, rarely smiled, and some might call him uptight and others might call him a bit of an asshole. But the Jensen that Jared knew was caring, he listened; he was fun, human and normal.

Now, Jared won’t say that he’s fallen in love with the guy.

That’d be too premature ya know? There are certain aspects of Jensen he liked for example, he had amazing eyes, a gorgeous smile and a great body to boot.

Fine, okay. Jared is being a bit superficial.

So, he liked the way that Jensen looks no biggie, right?

Then there’s also the way that Jensen looked after him when he sprained his ankle, carrying him back to the cabin and bandaging him up again. The way he looked so worried when Jared awoke.

Looking over at Jensen, who’s bent over his laptop typing something or another, Jared can see the way that the light catches his eyelashes. His focus intent on the screen in front of him, Jared can see the way the LCD shines in his green eyes…

Oh God.

Jared’s falling in love

Shit.

As Jensen unlocked his- sorry, their- house, Jared spent his time looking around at the security installed. He could see, from where he was, the coded and electric gate, cameras in every corner possible; the door was double locked and had two separate keys. When Jensen opened the door, a loud blaring made him jump, and only abated when Jensen turned around to type the key code into the alarm system. Jensen took a moment to point out the motion sensors in each room, that were synced with the alarm system.

Jared was simultaneously blown away and nervous.

“So,” Jensen indicated the stairs, “there are four bedrooms, one for each of us in the North Wing and one for each of our sisters in the South Wing. I know Megan lives on campus, but if she wants to come over and stay the weekend that’s fine too.”

Jared could do nothing but nod.

“Right, I’m off to shower. I’ll give you the grand tour later. You have your own en suite so feel free to use that or have a look around. I’ll see you for dinner.” And with that he climbed the stairs and left.

“Fine,” Jared muttered, “act like an asshole again. Not like we had sex or anything. Oh wait, we did.”

Jared threw his jacket on the back of the sofa and sat down with a huff. He was bored. His new husband was back to being a dick and Jared was bored.

Right now, meeting with some friends seemed like a great idea.

***

Jared hadn’t been out clubbing since his college days and, after calling up Sandy, Chad and Sophia from work; they all agreed that they could do with some time together.

The music was loud, the room was too warm and there was drinks flowing freely.

“So, how’s married life Jared?” Sandy asked, there was a evil glint in her eye that Jared was wary of.

“O-kay.” Again, very wary, as Sandy and Sophia shared a giggle. “Why?”

“We just wanted to know.” A beat. “How’s the sex?”

The drink that Jared was sipping came spewing out his mouth.

“Dude! I don’t need to know about your gay sex!” Chad slammed back another shot and shook his head in horror.

“Oh come on honey,” Sophia was patting Chad on the back like you would a child, “everyone’s a little gay.”

Chad screwed up his face in disgust. “I am fine with Jared being gay. More girls for me. I like girls and tits and-“ Chad hiccups loudly. “And not dicks. 100% straight I am.” And proceeds to puff his chest out like Tarzan would.

“Oh you alpha male you.” Sandy says; faking a love struck teen’s accent. “I bow down to your masculinity.”

“Chad,” Jared claps his best friend on the back, “remember that time in college where you kissed Milo?”

The girls are in cahoots while Chad looks like he’s going to murder someone.

“That was one time.” He looks at the girls pleadingly. “And it was for truth and dare. You promised man.”

“I did.” Jared nods solemnly. “Then again, I did have my fingers crossed.”

“You dick!”

“Oh sweetie,” Sophia’s wiping tears out her eyes, “I told you.” She points to an area behind Chad’s head. “I think there’s a guy there checking you out… want me to ask him over?”

“Oh fuck you both. I am content in my sexuality.”

“You mean bisexuality?” Sandy adds in a mock whisper.

“Oh fuck you too McCoy.”

Jared’s mood is interrupted when he looks down to see the screen on his cell flashing for what seems like the hundredth time tonight. He knew he took a risk not telling his bodyguard where he was going. And a bigger risk when he skipped out on dinner with Jensen. But he didn’t care. He was going to stay here, with his friends and Jensen could go fuck himself.

“My round next.” Jared collects their glasses and stands up to go to the bar for more booze.

His mission is cut short when he walks into six feet of muscle topped off with a pissed off, bordering on murderous, expression.

“Where have you been, Jared?”

Jensen’s hand clamps down on his forearm and Jared can hear Sandy and Sophia gasp behind him. He tries to shake it off but the grip is unyielding.

“Let me go Jensen.”

“We had plans Jared. You tell me where you go. You take your guard with you. You be back for dinner. Simple instructions.”

Jared pushes Jensen back, he can see both bodyguards behind him. “You don’t tell me what to do Jensen. Those were your rules.”

“Rules you agreed to abide by when you signed that contract. Or did you forget that too?”

Jared picked up a glass from the table behind him and quickly splashed it in Jensen’s face. “Is that all I am to you huh? A contract? A notch on your bedpost?”

“What?”

Jensen’s look changes from angry to puzzled, reaching to wipe the liquid off his face, he opens his mouth to say something else but Jared interrupts him again.

“Why the fuck do you care anyway? You’ve hardly spoken two words to me since we got back from our honeymoon.” The last word was dripping in sarcasm, the air quotes clear.

Jensen leans to the right, taking in Jared’s friends behind him. “This isn’t the place Jared. Let’s go home and we’ll discuss this.”

He leans forward to pull Jared by the arm again. But Jared isn’t having that, he moves his hand back, rolling his hand into a fist he swings his fist aiming for Jensen’s face.

The punch doesn’t land though.

The alcohol Jared consumed must have slowed him down more than he thought; Jensen catches the first easily and pulls Jared towards him, spinning him around so they are back to chest.

“Hey!” Chad gets up from his seat to reach for Jared and is forcibly sat back down by one of the guards.

“I told you Jared. You only get one strike.” Jensen tightens his hold on Jared. “So now. We are going to go home. You can sober up and we can discuss this like adults. Comprende?”

Jared has no choice. He nods mutely and lets himself be dragged away by Jensen.

Jensen turns back once towards Chad, Sandy and Sophia. “Nice to meet you.”

They leave the club out the back exit. The air is cool outside, a contrast to the warm atmosphere inside the club and Jared feels the sweat on his skin cool. He shakes himself free from Jensen’s grasp; this time Jensen lets him. He tries to walk away only to be pulled back again.

“Don’t you dare Jared.”

“Fuck you!”

No quicker than those words leave his mouth, Jensen has him pinned face first into the brick wall.

“Really Jared? I thought we’d agreed that I’d fuck you.”

“Get off me.”

The weight on his back is gone as quickly as it came and Jared pushes back from the wall in anger.

“What authority do you have to barge in, when I’m meeting with my friends, and drag me away like a teenager? Huh? Who are you to do that?”

“I’m your husband, you ungrateful jerk; unless you forget that quickly. And it was for your own good.”

“What?”

“Lehne’s been tracking your every move. If you got a death wish Jared, you just let me know.”

With that, he turns around and gets into the car behind him, when it appeared Jared would never know. The door stays open, a clear invitation for Jared to follow.

“What do you mean?” He calls after Jensen loudly.

“Get in the car.”

“No. Not until-“

Jensen’s out the car again quicker than Jared can finish the sentence. He tries to stop himself being pulled into the car, looks at the bodyguard standing by the door, but he just looks on as if he can't see.

“Let. Go.”

Jared tries to push Jensen’s face away from him, deter the inevitable but nothing seems to be working. He yelps as Jensen pushes him forcibly into the car and growls as he lands, only banging his elbow slightly. The door slams shut behind them and the car moves off.

“Ya know Jensen, this Neanderthal routine may work on other people, but it’s pissing me off!”

Nothing.

“Hey!”

Jared tries to kick out at him but his leg is grabbed and he’s yanked forward half into Jensen’s lap. He only has a few seconds breathing time before Jensen mouth descends on his. The kiss is unyielding, reminiscent of the last kiss they had in the car and Jared can feel the rage from earlier burn in this veins. He bites down on Jensen’s lip, smiling inwardly when he hears Jensen curse at him. The kiss becomes harder then, teeth and tongue joining in, and Jared can’t help but groan when Jensen reaches down to rub against Jared’s crotch.

“So Jared,” Jensen breathes the words against his lips, “seems like you and I have some business to attend to.”
