Chapter 9 Jared knew he should say something about his meeting with Chris. He knew he needed so tell Jensen; say something to alleviate the thoughts swimming around his head.
I know where you live… I know where your charming sister lives… I know where Lehne is too. I’m sure you can do the math.
After replaying the conversation, the thought of telling Jensen couldn’t have been farther from his mind.
Jared had a few days before the wedding to sort some things out at Padacorp. He needed to make sure that the paperwork for the contract exchange was complete; the Chair of Governors were still worried about his impending marriage and his Dad was having issues with the press.
How they got wind of the marriage he’ll never know.
But he had a small idea who was behind it.
***
The wedding itself was very quiet. Jensen had made sure that the hotel was vacated beforehand; and that no press were allowed in. As an added security measure all the attendees were checked against a master list. The top security firm in town was involved, and no-one came in or left without Jensen’s knowledge.
The last thing he needed was Lehne coming in and fucking everything up.
As per his promise to his sister and sister-in-law, he was not allowed to see Jared a day before the wedding.
Something about bad luck. He wasn’t quite sure.
“Jensen, you look lovely.”
Jensen sighed. “Mack, men do not look lovely as you so put it. I’m supposed to look handsome.”
He could see his sister roll her eyes in the mirror. “You look dashing.”
“Shut up.”
His sister was giving him updates on Jared every few minutes. The two sisters had taken it in their stride to make sure that they were discussing everything all the time.
“Is Jared okay?”
“He’s fine. Nervous. Worried.”
Jensen nodded silently.
He’d be lying if he said that he wasn’t nervous.
Up to now, Jensen hadn’t relied on anyone. He was his own man and looked after his sister. He didn’t want, nor did he need help. He’s been perfectly content with living that way for as long as he can remember.
And now he was getting married.
He was expected to share his home- his life- with someone, albeit for a limited time. But it was oh so out of his comfort zone.
He and Jared had spent a lot of time together recently; after some haggling they had agreed on a home near both their workplaces. Enough space for the two of them, plus adjoining spaces for their respective sisters. Jared’s father resided in his own apartment and was content with that arrangement. Mackenzie had asked Megan if she wanted to live with them, and after lots of squealing and noise they had finally decided she did.
He kept casting his mind back to the kiss. He remembered the feeling of Jared’s lips against his, the way he tasted and smelt. He’d be lying if he didn’t admit to finding Jared attractive, and if that kiss was anything to go by then there was definitely chemistry there. And if that was a kiss then the sex-
Jensen shook his head. He was a man of his word. Men of their word do not go around fantasising about a guy they could never attain. And he’d meant it when he stipulated that there would be no pressure for sex. Jensen wasn’t expecting a normal marriage.
A knock on the door broke him out of his reverie and he turned to see Jared’s father at the door.
“We’re ready.”
His future father-in-law nodded and he could see Mackenzie bouncing in her chair from the corner of his eye.
“Contain yourself Mack.”
“You’re getting married.”
Jensen buried his face in his hands.

The wedding ceremony was simple. A priest. A large room. Some friends and family. Some music.
It was so simple that nothing could have gone wrong.
They had completed Jensen’s vows when that nothing turned into something.
“Do you, Jared, take Jensen to be your husband?”
The priest looked at Jared, who opened his mouth to answer.
Suddenly, there was commotion at the back of the room and both Jensen and Jared turned to see security holding someone back.
“Do you think getting married will solve anything Jared?”
They both knew that voice.
Lehne.
“I can still get you. Still get your grandfather’s wealth. This is nothing Jared.”
Jensen turned to see that Jared had gone pale. His usual tan looked dimmer, he had two spots of colour rising on his cheeks and there were small beads of sweat at his hairline.
“Ignore him Jared.” He whispered.
“By all means, Jensen, feel free to stop this at any time. You’re just delaying the inevitable.”
Behind him, he can hear the priest calling him, asking for attention, an explanation. But Jensen is too focused on Lehne.
“What ‘inevitable’, Lehne? You think you’re gonna be able to take another step? Look around you, it’s you against everyone else.” He pauses. “And you’ll lose.”
Lehne seems to take a second to consider this. He glances around the room. “This isn’t over Jensen.”
“It never is with you.” He nods to the men holding him and watches as they drag Lehne out, none too gently, to the nearest exit.
“Jensen?” He turns to glance at Jared, his pallor is improving and he looks better already. “Can we get married and leave as soon as?”
Jensen nods.
“Good.”

Jared breathes a sigh of relief as he and Jensen get into the car. He looks behind him as the car drives off to see his sister and Mackenzie waving at them with his Dad. He’s thankful that the rest of the ceremony and dinner without any problems and even as they left, there’s no immediate sight of Lehne.
“Where are we going?”
The car takes a turn and Jared tried to regain his bearings.
“Honeymoon.”
Jared whips his head around to look at his husband, oh God he has a husband, and see him looking out the window.
“Are you shitting me?”
Jensen looks at him now. A small smile playing on his lips. “What?”
“A honeymoon, Jensen? Are you insane?” Jensen shrugs, smile in full force now. “Why are we having a honeymoon?”
“Jared, unless you were asleep, you must have realised that we just got married.” He waits for Jared to nod. “Well, social conformity has it that we have a honeymoon.”
“Why do we need to have one Jensen?”
“Well, I thought it’d be nice.” Jared growls in frustration. “Plus, I only half organised it.” Jared looks at him expectantly. “Our sisters.”
Jared lets his head flop back on the car seat. “Kill me now.” He can hear Jensen chuckle. “Where are we going?”
“It’s a surprise.”
“What?” Jared sits up straight again. “Another one? Like we haven’t had enough today as it is!”
“Jared-“
“Don’t Jared me! I am sick of this. Lehne coming. We got married Jensen. Married. And we’re sharing a house. And-“
“Jared-“
“Oh and we’re together every single day. And the press found out, my company thinks that I’m an incompetent asshole. The press, Jensen.”
Jared didn’t see it coming, but next thing he knew he’s being pulled forward and Jensen’s mouth descends on his.
First, he blames the shock of it all; second, he blames the fact that he really wasn’t expecting it and lastly… well, he isn’t really sure.
But, Jensen has a hold on his waist; his hand has reached below his dress shirt and is rubbing against his stomach. Jared can feel how turned on Jensen is, feel his erection against his knee. He slides his hand into Jensen’s hair, lets Jensen pull him even more forward. He ends up sprawled on his lap, knees bracketing his thighs and the kiss has turned fierce. Jensen licks his way into Jared’s mouth, teeth biting and soothing his lips alternately.
“Jensen… we should… God we should stop.”
Jensen answers by pulling Jared so that their crotches line up, Jared can feel the hot pressure of Jensen’s dick against his own and can’t help but grind himself down on it. He’s rewarded by a loud groan from Jensen and feels himself being moved forward and back.
“Come on Jared… ride me.” Jensen whispers against his lips.
The pace is frantic, Jared can feel the places where his shirt is sticking, he can feel sweat beading down his back and Jensen’s hands on his ass are like a brand.
His orgasm comes from nowhere, pleasure shoots up his spine white hot; it sizzles in his veins and he can’t help but groan as he comes. He groans again when Jensen buries his head on his shoulder and follows him.
His trousers feel sticky; he can hear Jensen’s ragged breathing in his ear and his own heart hammering in his chest.
“We shouldn’t have done that.” Jensen’s voice shakes as he says it.
What?
“I’m sorry Jared.”
Jared pushes at Jensen and climbs off his lap. He slides his fingers through his sweaty hair and shakes his head in dismay. “You keep saying sorry Jensen… and then you jump me anyway?”
***
“Jump you?” Jensen turns to Jared incredulous. “I can’t see you telling me to get off. In fact, I remember you enjoying that as much as I did.” Jared huffs and Jensen is suddenly struck with anger. “You got off didn’t you? I must have been doing something right.”
He isn’t prepared for the pain. Nor was he prepared for Jared’s right hook; the first striking him across the nose snaps his head sideways.
“You’re an arrogant asshole.”
Jensen brings his hand up to wipe at his nose, seeing it red with blood is a shock. He turns to Jared, he can see his lips pink from the kiss and his suits a mess from their make out.
“That was strike one Jared.” His voice pitched low. “You won’t get a free pass again.”
Jared huffs. “Whatever.”
“Jared, you can either choose to calm down and we can get this honeymoon over with, or I’ll simply leave you on the side of the road.”
The expression on Jared’s face turned serious. “You wouldn’t dare.”
“Care to try?”
And the rest of the ride was filled with blessed silence.
