Last weekend, knowing that Andy and Christina were leaving in August for grad school in NY, and knowing that Martha would be leaving in August for Prague, and having told everybody I'd do this almost a month ago, I went and looked at some apartments. I am tired. But updates:

Devotion wrapped. It wasn't easy and it wasn't painless, but it was a far cry from the worst tension I've felt on a film shoot, and to be honest I have a feeling the quality of work will be a lot higher than many of the more tense shoots I've been on. • ~12:00pm wake up.
• 1:00pm shower.
• 2:00pm lunch, Burgerville, review pages of One Day in the Future.
• 3:00pm meeting with the crew of Martha's upcoming short film Devotion, which I've agreed to help out as a last-minute AD on.
• 4:30pm Big Fan with Cassie and Jim, Q&A with Patton Oswalt after.

Just read the Amazon.com synopses for Jonathan Lethem's new novel, Chronic City, and Thomas Pynchon's new one, Inherent Vice, and honestly I thought maybe they got the two mixed up. Is Lethem writing a Pynchon novel and is Pynchon writing a Lethem novel?

Since TV seems the topic of the weekend, I can't not comment on the latest episode of Lost. The whole season's been really strong, and so was the last, but the episode I watched tonight ("Namaste") was one of the most exciting and flawless in a while, partially because it was so simple and straightforward.
