This is a ritual from the delightful Havi over at The Fluent Self and I've been meaning to join in for a while, even once I had my extra special icon of hugging a chicken (and thus Friday and the check-in) it's proven hard to just do the thing. But I am now doing the thing. YAY!

My world is quite small at the moment, I'm feeling low and fragile. Maybe it's that recurring surge of burnout? And change. So much change going on, I'm unsure which things were keystones but whatever they are I feel that they've been a bit damaged by the year.

I finally managed to make myself check my uni results:

Distinction - Love and Friendship
Credit - Ethics Responsibility and Justice
Credit - Contemporary Cultures and the Small Screen

I'm very relieved to have passed. More than that, I'm pleased to have gotten better marks than simply passing ( Read more... )

Today has been a great day for the most part - some parts definitely better than others. ( Rather long, but several chunks of information including the ditmar vortex, WA on Show and forays into study as consideration for myself. )

This wasn't the first part of my evening, but it did wholely make a difference.

Curled up with ascetic_hedony and there was that sense of being 'home' which is neither the wrong nor right word, but it was just wonderful. I was loved and there was much needed sharing of energy. We were playful and plotty and evil at moments, there was laughter and stress ( Read more... )
