Tomatoes, Antenna, and Pigeon Issues
It's hard to believe but I'm *almost* getting tired of eating tomatoes. Especially the cherry type. Next year I'll grow only the larger "Early Girl" variety. I prefer having tomato sandwiches (using the big ones) to eating endless salads with cherry tomatoes in them (or just eating them by themselves).
My digital television receives only one channel so I just ordered a TV antenna from amazon.com that I hope will help. I did some online price comparison and found that, surprisingly, Amazon's price for the same antenna was ten dollars cheaper than Wal-Mart's. With free shipping! I can't wait to get it.
My birdie friend, the flightless pigeon, has returned and is in a cage outdoors again. She seemed to recover after a day of resting and eating the last time, but now I think she wasn't really better at all. Last evening I found her again sitting on the lawn, completely unable to fly. From what I've read in a forum, I believe she has a virus called PMV (Paramyxovirus).
Supposedly a pigeon can recover from this with supportive care ,which is what I'm giving her now, but it may take six weeks.
