The most recent filmed version of Great Expectations, the PBS Masterpiece Classic show, is the best version ever. It was beautiful and the clearest presentation of the story and issues involved that I've seen. Highly recommended. As Anne Rice has expressed, we're living in the Golden Age of television right now.

So I watched Bravo's Work of Art: The Next Greatest Artist a few hours ago, and my reaction this time is a resounding, "meh." I guess I just hate team challenges. Just my opinion but...it seems to me that Erik was royally screwed set up by Jaclyn on this week's episode of Work of Art: The Next Great Artist. At one point Erik said he didn't think Jaclyn was smart enough to trick him in that way, but I think she is definitely conniving enough to do so and he was naive enough to fall for it. There are several good new shows on TV this season. I watched V earlier tonight and it's pretty good. I'm happy to see that actress Elizabeth Mitchell (who was killed in Lost last season) got a new job starring in this show.
