The most recent filmed version of Great Expectations, the PBS Masterpiece Classic show, is the best version ever. It was beautiful and the clearest presentation of the story and issues involved that I've seen. Highly recommended. As Anne Rice has expressed, we're living in the Golden Age of television right now.
I'm sorry
elfies, but I can't read the language you are currently writing your Livejournal entries in. I've dropped you from my Friend's list for that reason. Nothing personal. (I strongly suspect that elfies no longer reads my blog, btw.)
Yesterday was quite warm for April -- in the 80s. I've got to start planting some seedlings in pots to be ready for my usual Memorial Day gardening date. My forget-me-nots, the ones I started from seed last year, are blooming outside in abundance right now. They're lovely, although very small in size. That's normal for that flower, but it surprised me as I'd never seen them in real life before, and had this idea that they were quite a lot bigger.
Mad Men was really good this past Sunday. I love the subplot that one of the ad men is secretly a science fiction/fantasy writer. And I loved the "ordinary" table talk at Pete's dinner party.
