Conference update
Today:
What's funny: My boss and I dressed alike again, unintentionally. When I got to the keynote this morning and saw him wearing a burgundy shirt and black pants, and he saw me wearing the same, we both lost it. Everyone must have thought we were nuts. Well, we are, but not in that way.
My boss actually called me at the reception (he's not much for drinking or crowds) to tell me what color shirt he's wearing tomorrow so that I don't wear the same color.
Too funny.
One minor downer: I miss Pepe. Accent is looking after her, and he's good with critters, and Pepe seems to like him well enough, but I still miss her. She's only been home for a couple of days!
Anyway, I have a slight buzz on from the reception, and I end up retyping every other word due to typos, so I'm calling this a post and I'm calling it a night.
- More excellent food.
- Workshops that have been actually relevant to what I am doing now at work, and not just in terms of concept, but in terms of current projects that I am actually in the midst of doing.
- A fun reception at a nearby bar with free beverages that has led to making useful work contacts who might help me persuade the Network Admin and the Executive Director to choose the document management software configuration that I really think we need.
- A pleasant evening walk along the Riverwalk from the bar to the hotel with a few other conference attendees.
