Friday last, mishypurple, tantanatanya and myself went to Yo!Sushi for dinner. Despite being an hour early, Mish still managed to be late. I bought a couple of stamp lots to use in art collages, and was excited to find that some of the stamps from different countries have the same species of butterfly on them. Is that not cool? The center stamps come from Mongolia, Bulgaria and Czechoslovakia respectively, and all show a Parnassius Apollo on them.

I managed to completely avoid doing what I was supposed to do this weekend, namely paint the bath frontboard and replace the lino (it's going from Ugly 70s Beige Geometrics to Faux Dark Blue Marble, which although it sounds a bit naff actually goes very nicely with the wall colour of the bathroom - a deep Babylonian Wall blue which is quite intense ( Read more... )

Metalwork Lesson #3 started poorly - the District Line was suspended from Whitechapel to Earl's Court due to signal failures, so I ended up catching the tube to Hammersmith, catching a bus from there to Putney Bridge, and then catching a black cab to the Sands End Community Centre.
