What Magical Girl Are You? What Shoujo Mascot Are You? It was a strange day over here, with grey clouds and drips of rain here and there until about 5, then the clouds rolled away and the sun came out. Very nice.
Today started with my Japanese exam at 9 am, which I learned (when no one showed up) was really yesterday at 1:30 pm. -_- I misread the schedule somehow. Luckily, Prof. Carvill was able to help me by breaking into Larry-sensei's office, swiping a copy of the exam, then confiscating my backpack while I took the exam. So that worked out all right.
Later in the afternoon, I went to the mall and got the new Weird Al CD ^_^ I'm saving that for the ride home, so I'll let you know how it is when I get back. I wanted to get some new manga, but there wasn't anything good at Waldenbooks. I did find The Art of Spirited Away at Suncoast, but I didn't buy it.
After I got back from the mall, I went to the travel office and bought my railpass (for use in Japan), but first I had to go back to my room and get my checkbook. Just as I did, the phone rang, and it was Larry-sensei, who had just gotten back from his concert (he plays in a symphony), and gotten Prof. Carvill's message. So I explained that I had taken it, and left it in his mailbox and all that, and he told me to go and get a teaching packet (for use in Japan) from his office tomorrow. So I need to remember to do that.
Tonight was the very last shift at Knollcrest for the semester, and I was in Deli. It was pretty busy at the beginning, but by the end, there was next to no one coming in. Clean up was easy, since we just tossed all the leftover food.
Mom and Dad called from their hotel (it's a day-and-a-half drive to get to Calvin from CT, and they're picking me up tomorrow), and Mom requested that I get a 1 pm checkout time instead of 2 pm, so we'd have more time at the mall right by the hotel. I said I'd see what I could do, but wasn't very optimistic. I went downstairs to see whether there were any spots at 1, and there was exactly one. Lucky! So that ended up working out.
And now I'm watching American Idol, and hopefully I'll remember to vote tonight (more often than not, I forget about it until it's too late).
