Ten Lost Predictions

So, my main theory for the last season of Lost was rather spectacularly disproven a couple of weeks ago with the episode Across the Sea. I haven't tried to formulate a new grand theory, but did want to make a few predictions for the final episode which airs tonight. We'll see how many of these happen.

So, my son's been going through a phase lately where he'll sleep really well ... as long as he's in somebody's arms.  This has led to a few Saturday mornings where I've gotten up fairly early and had a sleeping baby on my chest, so I end up watching TV.

So I've been watching this show Harper's Island - thankfully, it's not Stephen Harper's island, but sadly not Ben Harper's either. The idea of it is that this massive bridal party is on an island in Washington state prior to the wedding, and that there's a killer on the island, killing off guests at the rate of at least one per episode. I've been trying to get caught up with Doctor Who lately - somehow I ended up 2 seasons behind on the series, but I don't know why, because I really enjoyed the show when I did see it. Tennant is great fun as the Doctor.

Friday night we went to another Beating Heart extravaganza - saw both Ghost Hands and Five Blank Pages, both of whom I've talked about here before, and who were just as wonderful as ever.  5BP have started working some more new stuff into their set as well, which is cool - Noyan said they'll have a new album out in September, I think?  We also saw ( Read more... )

Goddamn I love Corner Gas sometimes, even though the whole thing did hem dangerously close to the "astronauts vs. cavemen" debacle.

Now THAT was some exciting television. Last week's episode left me a little lukewarm, but these week was definitely worthwhile.
