NPR is running a media blitz looking at Americans and our ongoing struggle with the Holy Dollar.  I think they're making some valid connections here, but sometimes their presentation seems disjointed.  I would like to use this forum to have a better dialogue about it.

Has anyone heard about this? The Amyethyst Initiative is an initiative to start a debate on the drinking age.  I totally see the college's point of view on this.  In our school system, there's a natural break, and that break is at 18, not 21.  Going to college has a certain rite of passage, and currently that rite is technically illegal.  Colleges ( Read more... )

New technique creates cheap, abundant hydrogen: report - Yahoo! News: deprivation  showed me this this morning.  It seems like something that catstab would post.

My hesitation with hydrogen as a fuel is distribution.  But knowing that hydgrogenated oils not only clog your arteries, but potentially give liquid fuels a boost may be a good solution.
