Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition: Biofueled For Your Pleasure: I'm reading this book call "Alcohol can be a gas", and he's stated that alcohol-fueled cars are better for the environment and they get better mileage/torque/power because more work is done. While petrol has a lot more energy density in it, most of the combustion of that fuel is dissipated in heat. Alcohol has higher octane and is cooler burning, which is better on your engine. These guys take it to the next level and prove it. Neato.
While it is an expensive car, the fact that these high-performance manufacturers are doing it totally guts the argument from our current auto companies that alcohol is not a superior fuel.
Now we just have to get those corn subsidies reversed and start to use something decent to create our alcohol like non-farmland. You don't need to use prime farmland to make alcohol, any plant will do, especially starchy, hearty, non-food crops like
buffalo gourd, which will grow anywhere, and can even be considered a weed or invasive species.
