Had a coffee-chat with KD from the little inner-city business clubbie thing that met on the tenth. Didn't really get much out of it. Would it be awesome or not to name a Japanese company Mekaashigani, if it made giant multistorey semi-mobile robot gantry cranes which had a boatload of robot arms hanging from its upper levels and used these to build entire houses beneath itself?

Took a walk today, for exercise if nothing else. There's a minipark down on Andrews Place that showed up as a noticeable patch of public land in the middle of residential territory on the local council's land-use map of the suburb, but despite having grown up within a couple of blocks of it, I'd never heard of the place ( Read more... )
