So, I'm back from Indy as of yesterday.. The visit went well. I spend the first weekend cleaning our house and geocaching with Powerstar. That was a blast! :) We also went out to see Good Luck Chuck. After Bear prompted her w/an e-mail, our real estate agent finally got back with us today at noon (see a pattern here?). She said that she got th notification that the buyer is accepting the house as-is. Yeah!!! Weekend was all abuzz with things we were doing. Bear's parents came down for the weekend so we celebrated their anniversary with them here in Tampa (it's actually Tuesday, but they wanted to celebrate a little early). So, the inspection of our first home will happen on Friday, and our closing is set up for the end of the month. It's so hard to believe that this ordeal is almost over! ...but we finally sold the house! We faxed our offer last night at 7:00. Apparently the buyer countered at 8:00 pm. Of course, we didn't hear about it until, as has become custom, noon today when our agent finally called us to tell us there was a counter offer. So, we just got a telephone call (notice, it's noon now on Saturday). The people that were interested in our house countered last night at 6:15 pm.. Kelly just called to let us know about the counter. As has been pointed out several times previously, our selling real estate agent doesn't have the ability to communicate enough to be an agent. The counter offer we sent in last night indicated there was a 7:00 pm deadline tonight.
